Regardless of the fact that the city is bursting through its seams and that space is at utmost premium, people seem to be finding room for their fish friends. Ornamental fish and fish accessories is estimated to be a Rs 400 crore business in India and is growing gradually.

Held from the 20th to the 24th of june, the Aqua India 2007 was promoted as the first exhibition of its kind in the suburbs. It was held in a huge and spacious basement at the Prabhodhankar Thackeray Sports Complex at Vile Parle(E).

I, like other local aquarists, have waited a long time for such an event to take place in Mumbai and i thank the organisers for holding such an event.
